Gyulavári Castle
The idea of the Gyulavár Castle Visitor Centre was born from the idea of presenting the ethnographic, cultural and natural-environmental values of the Southern Great Plain, as well as its economic history and development opportunities in a new form in the former aristocratic residence.
The Castle covers three main areas: tradition, culture and sustainable development. This triad is logically linked: traditions define culture, and culture in its broader sense is fundamental to the future.
With its 18 exhibitions on different themes and its varied and colourful programme, Gyulavár Castle offers a meaningful and memorable experience for all ages, from young schoolchildren to the elderly. It is also a new attraction in the tourist offer of Gyula and its surroundings.
