Almásy Castle
What operated the everyday life of the castles, to whom was the splendor due, what did the world behind the scenes look like in the homes of the aristocracy? The Almásy Castle in Gyula tells about this. In addition to the colorful world of the life of the lords who once lived in the building, we also present the everyday life of the staff who served them. With the help of 21st century interactive technology, the exhibition offers the visitor the experience of discovering who heated the stoves, how many liters of water were consumed in a day, who washed the countess’s underwear, what the staff’s daily routine looked like, what their duties were – and in general where and how did the servants live, who invisibly and almost imperceptibly made the daily life of a count’s family comfortable?
